I have been told by many people that there is a free photoshop available for download but I can not seem to find any such thing. Other people have told me of a lite version of photoshop but they also say it doesn't have a lot of features.

I just saw in one of the threads here that there is something called gimpshop. Does anyone have any experience with it and what exactly is it? Does it do all the same things photoshop does? Would it be good for editing my photos?

I use gimp, never heard of gimpshop, sounds interesting I wonder what the difference is. Although I am just a beginner in using any photo editing software, I heard Photoshop has a lot of extra features than gimp does. But I would not know how to use them anyway so I will stick with the freeby!

You won't know how to use them until you acquire them!
i've used several other photo software, and I may not be alone when I say the premier is truly Photoshop...why would anyone settle for less? Price, of course, may be prohibitive...but I've...ummmmmm...heard that alot of folks get their PS through a friend...or so I've heard. (looks up into the air, rolling eyes and whistling...)

I've been using photoshop for many many years, even before I switched o mostly DSLR's, and I'm learning new stuff about it all the time. Things you don't know how to use, eventually become part of your palette! Lot of tools at your fingertips there!
