Looks pretty sharp! A true macro has a magnification of 1 to 1. This is considered more of a close up, but this is a great idea to learn and to get to know your camera better.

I have been practicing my macro also. With the risk of sounding rude (I really do not mean to) you can probably find a lot of things more interesting than a battery to shoot. There are a ton of things everywhere you look. I started with bugs, a friend of mine suggested learning on dead bugs which actually helped me out a lot. Not that I am really good now, but it did help me.![]()
The battery was literally the first thing I looked at and tried. Since I have taken a bunch to test with. I merely wanted to feel the camera out.
Thats the way to do it! Always experiment and keep shooting!
How close to the battery were you with the lens?
