Size: 102.4 KBWeather was raining and just lousy that day, but would love some critiqque on this unedited picture. I wanted a slow shutter to show movement on the prop for the airplane cutting the ribbon. I was hand holding the camera. The only thing I might have done differently was focus on the rear airplane instead of the blue angels jets.
I could have shot with a high fstop of a greater dof but weather dictacted 2.8

  2. I think the planes in the foreground are distracting. Maybe if you moves in front of them it would have a little more impact. Although you may not have been able to I am not sure.

I using the jets in front to frame the picture. So you think they are too distracting? Moving around was not an option as press had one platform to shoot from.
My thoughts were the Blue Angles (jets up front) was the main attraction for the show and most people came just to see them, so I used the parked airplanes to frame the shot. I will keep your suggestions in mind for the next show. I shoot allot of airshows and it is becoming that time of the year.
