Wow, they wouldn't let me be a member over at this model/photograher forum. Glad I was accepted here. Real photographs by real people of real people. The other place was like WOW! I didn't know such perfect people with perfect bodies actually existed. The photography is so far out of my league is not even funny. Well I hope I can learn a thing or 2 here. I have a dry sense of humor and can be considered sarcastic at times. That's just who I am. If I hack anybody off, please just pm me so I can smooth things out. I'm not a troll or purposely thrown down on people. I also tend to be very honest when it come to photographs. Don't take any criticism by me personally. If I take the time to criticise a piece it's because it has real potential or is just horribly bad. I love taking pictures of my dogs, landscapes, and women. The first 2 I don't have any problem with, it the women I have a hard time convincing to let me photograph them.

  2. Welcome to FF, you seem to be quite a personality! I am looking forward to seeing some of your photos!

  3. Hi

  4. Welcome to FF!

How are you approaching the women? Are these women you know or strangers? You have to approach them differently depending on how well you know them.

Welcome and yes lets see some of your work. As one of the rules that savona hold dear is that criticism is necessary for a photographer to get better. If you are just being nice to just be nice I will never know what I need to do to better myself as a photographer. As long as it's constructive criticism and not a rude 'You Suck" post it's all good. It helps if you point out the good also when you point out the bad. Welcome abord and please post a photo or two. As for the women, that's a tricky situation. I feel that as long as you are accommodating to them, let them bring an escort, show them some of your other work and I prefer to talk in person or on the phone before we meet for the shoot. This gives them a sense of what and who you are all about and what is to be expected at the shoot. Sorry I am getting lengthy here. Once again WELCOME and feel at home here, I already do...

  6. Welcome, well understanding dogs and landscapes are easier then women, thats #1. Here is a start for you and a in w/ your dog go to the dog park photograph your dogs and ask about some of the other dogs and get the ok of the owners. Let them know you are just learning photography and would like to have more then just your dogs in your stock. Don't just ask the ladies ask the men too. As a man of almost 50 year (NOT YET). It is safe to say I can look at a man and say he is good looking and would look good in a photo. This will give you a start to asking people. In parks of your town you will see nice landscapes and if some lady is walking by ask if she would not mind if you take her photo. Print up cards, also tou can place a add looking for models (trading photos for their time). Once you get to know your models and they like your work they might feel safe for semi and nudes.

Note: none of this is new to our photography, these tips have been handed down for years.
