    James R. Johnson

I am new today after much difficulty getting signed on. (I forgot to write my password down) I am an advanced shooter who went to photo school (Ray-Vogue in Chicago) I am currently using a Canon Xsi Rebel digital. I have two Is lens 18-55 & 55-250 & a ordinary 75-300. I don't photograph much now, (because of my Wife's health), but I have 4000 shots I took with digital cameras in the laptop & I have 6 notebooks full of 8x10s of mostly nature shots. I enjoy photography without the chemicals of old. I even learned how to color B&W photos. I enjoy the computer enhancing much better. I also have a Canon Hi-def video camera which I haven't fully learned yet how to use effectively Well enough for now feel free to contact me at sftwre@juno.com or here

  2. Welcome, May your Wife get better so you can get better too cause those things take a toll on you too and then you can get back to shooting. Also look into a macro and find the nature in your back yard. I don't know Bolingbrook, but you don't know Barkhamsted too but I bet there are all kinds of bug, flowers and other cool thing right in your backyard and this works even if you don't have a back yard. Like Apt. livers.I Being a nature photographer and you also there is nothing better then stalking a bee or butterfly for 15-20 minutes and getting the shot. This will get you back into things this spring cause I am sure all you have is snow right now just like us. Also if you have a window you can shoot from set up a Bird feeder. This can keep you at or close to the house to help your Wife. Hope it helps

Welcome to the group, we are happy to have you. I believe you will find you can make a significant contribution while keeping your fingers in the developer, so to speak, as you care for your wife. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
