    Dragonfly

    I found this dragonfly in a Nature walk thru a swamp in South Carolina.
    I don't remember any of the settings except the camera and lens was set at macro, and was hand held.
    I did a center crop.

    Too bad you couldn't get closer. He looks like a handsome devil. That would make a lovely wallpaper.

    Nikon D5 with a 70 - 300mm vr lens, macro mode 1/500 sec at f5.6. I could not leave the wooden walkway due to the water and possible alligators.

    Thanks I appreciate the comments. Yes, I like the VR in the lens. He held still for a few seconds longer than most of the other insects I saw.

    Alligators don't eat photographers only Golfers cause they keep putting those hard to eat eggs in the water. GO FOR IT
