Shoot the moon Looking for help

Here is my attempt at the moon, I have never tried this before and I didn't do anything other than crop in PS before posting it. Anything else to consider and try?
I did use my trip pod but I did it from the front porch and didn't want to go out in the yard to take the shot so the position of the legs was less than ideal let alone not stable.

I would love some C&C here

But I see some that appear to have more detail than this one. I know the lunar calendar has allot to do with it, but I would have loved to get more detail out of the picture.

Your tonality looked a bit compressed to me so I ran the image through PS and applied 'Levels.' (Hope you don't mind.) Here is what I got. I think you'll admit it looks we have found a bit more detail.

I don't mind the edit, I should have tried some of the adjustments in PS when I was cropping it. I went brain dead.
