    Lens brands

    I have a Sony A200 and I am looking to get a 300mm zoom. Mostly looking at ebay and the like, trying to stay away from retail. I currently see brands for sale like sigma, tamron, quantaray, and so on. I am not wanting to spend several hundred dollars. I just want to know what is a quality lens for the price. Probably $250 or less, hoping to find the or less part from private sellers.

    quantaray is from Ritz who has gone out of Biz. in the NE but still in Biz in Mid Atlantic (MD) and on line. I have Sigmas and like them look at www.shopzilla.com It hunts down lowest pricing for you. $184.99 at amazon
