Thread: What is your pocket camera?

  1. What is your pocket camera?

I recently bought my better half a digital elph by canon because I was tired of lugging my camera to every kids party, holiday and small trip we went on. I love this little thing, it takes great photos and has a HUGE LCD on the back. its like watching a small TV! I would LOVE this thing if it had some manual settings.

I was wondering if anyone else has a compact digital that they like to use? if so which one?

  2. I have an old Sony Cybershot, it's only 3 Megapixels but has very vibrant colours. Great little pocket camera.

I have a Canon SD 500 (or is it 550?) it's 7.1 mp, big screen, and you can do a tiny bit of manual settings. Only goes up to iso 400, so it's not too good for low light, but it is great. I have it on me all the time. The colors are always super vibrant, which I think most people would like, but I don't, so I always dull them down. Aside from that I think it's great.

Canon S2IS. Doesn't exactly fit in my pocket but it is usually with me in the car. Like the above listed camera it only goes to ISO 400 but I try not to shoot above the base of 50 since noise can be a real issue with this camera.

  7. I am a canon traitor, my gf wanted a slim point and shoot with the huge LCD in the back so I got her a Nikon Coolpix L7c, I'm pretty sure this is model, it might be an older model but it's the same thing

It's decent. I think she just liked it because the way it looks.

    more info on it.

In my experience all of the Nikon point and shoot digitals are sooooooo slooooow. Hopefully they've gotten better since I've been in retail.
